Summary
Amends the
Civil Aviation (Carriers’ Liability) Act 1959
,
Air Accidents (Commonwealth Government Liability) Act 1963
and
Civil Aviation Act 1988
to give effect to the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air (the Montreal Convention) by providing a framework for the liability of air carriers in relation to injury or death of a passenger, loss or damage to cargo and baggage, and damage caused by a delay in the arrival of a passenger, baggage and freight.
